Big impact starts small
At AVZ-Group, we believe that every step counts. That is why we are committed to working sustainably every day to reduce our ecological footprint and actively reduce CO₂ emissions. Together with you, we are building a future that is cleaner, smarter and greener. Our goal? To be completely climate neutral by 2050. We are fully committed to this, on multiple fronts.
Less energy, less emissions
We focus on reducing our energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. In our production processes, we ensure more efficient use of raw materials, less sawing and cutting waste, and careful waste separation. Where possible, we use sustainable, recyclable packaging materials, provided this does not compromise quality.
Insight with life cycle assessments (LCAs)
We are fully committed to making not only our business operations more sustainable, but also our products. Life cycle assessments (LCAs) play an important role in this. LCAs provide insight into the total environmental impact of a product: from raw material to recycling/waste processing (end of life).
Inclusion in the National Environmental Database
Sustainable construction is determined by legislation and regulations laid down in the Environment Act. Since 1 January 2018, standards have been in place for the environmental performance of new homes and buildings larger than 100 m². In order to calculate these environmental performances accurately and consistently, the government has set up the National Environmental Database, based on the life cycle analysis (LCA) of construction products.
Our SolidScreens, roller shutters, drop arm awnings and markisolettes are included in category 1 of the National Environmental Database: this category has the highest reliability rating. This provides external stakeholders with the most relevant data that can be used when designing and calculating the environmental impact of buildings. With this approach, we offer our partners and customers transparent information that contributes to the realisation of sustainable buildings.

At AVZ-Group, we believe it is important to contribute not only to a better environment, but also to society. This is reflected in our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Every day, we work towards a more sustainable and better future for everyone.
We are proud of the various projects through which we make a positive contribution to society.
Whether it's sponsorship, such as for the Solar Team Eindhoven, or supplying products for events such as the NAC Street League final days (see photos), we are happy to get involved. We are particularly proud of our long-standing partnership with KWF Kankerbestrijding (Dutch Cancer Society). Since 2010, we have been committed to skin cancer research with our own brand Tibelly sun protection fabric. Our aim is to bring about a change in mentality, putting the concept of shade in a different light.
It is important to us to do our bit in this way, and we are grateful that these initiatives enable us to make a difference to society.
